IRIS Intelligence was invited to join the UK delegation at the Navy League’s Sea-Air-Space Exposition in April 2017. The Expo brings the U.S. defense industrial base, private-sector U.S. companies and key military decision makers together for an annual innovative, educational, professional and maritime based event. Sea-Air-Space took place at National Harbor, MD and is now the largest maritime exposition in the U.S. It continues to be an invaluable extension of the Navy League’s mission of maritime policy education and sea service support.
IRIS has extensive credentials helping to manage risk for the defense industry, working on a variety of programs with government agencies, prime contractors and sub-contractors alike. IRIS was asked to exhibit at the event as a part of the UK Innovation pavilion. It was a an opportunity to catch up with a number of current customers and reiterate our commitment to providing secure and tailored risk and opportunity management software solutions to the industry. In addition to presenting our own success stories, we were able to learn about evolving demands for safety and security in the sector, Government commitment to using Small Businesses in the supply chain and many other education sessions.
In addition to the exhibition itself, Vice Admiral Simon Jonathan Woodcock, OBE, Second Sea Lord (2SL) hosted a reception to bring together US and UK teams working in the defense sector across both the private and public sector. We look forward to continuing our work with the Navy and other defense agencies, ensuring cost effective risk management techniques enhance on-time delivery of future programs.
